2009, April 20. 4015 DIAS SIN PAZ.
Piedra de Sol, poem reading.
"Under the suggestive title “4015 days without Peace”, Miami celebrated the remembrance day of the famous writer Octavio Paz, in the Cultural Institute of Mexico this Monday April 20, one day after the poet and essayist passed away in 1998. (He was born on March 31, 1914)."
"The event also had actor's Ariel López Padilla special participation, interpreting masterly some fragments of the outstanding poem “Piedra de Sol ” (“the deads are fixed in its death / and they cannot die from another death”), also Lic. Arturo Morell, director of the Center and who presented the act, and was closed with a perfect finish with the words of the General Consul from México Lic. Juan Miguel Gutiérrez Tinoco who told passages of his encounter with the writer in Rome and referred to the author's extensive diplomatic career (Paz was ambassador in the India and represented Mexico in France, where he actually wrote “El laberinto de la soledad”)."
